website database help

I'm building a new website for my group and I need help implementing a member login program. In my mind this is how it needs to work. Hit the site and for new members there is a Registration button taking them to a test and reg form, for existing members there is a login in prompt and after successful login it redirects to the members home page. Also I need to control the difference between reg members and admin who can edit the site when needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :confused:

you would need a server side language such as PHP, CGI or Perl to be able to use a server side database in this way. and if you have one please let me know what it is so I can start offering help.
