okay i'm doing some screen recording and i'm annoyed with a messenger window that makes noises through my video's... i can probably just change messangers settings but on occasion i also get them little bubbles in my taskbar that make an annoying sound... i was wondering if there was a way to isolate sounds or if there was software that would silence programs or isolate sounds

cheers much,
Jamey

You can tell your computer to kill all sounds, if that would help. Or, rather, all Windows sound effects. I know this works for many (or all) of the sounds used in Windows Messenger. Would that work?

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds
Drop down menu: Sound Scheme
Option: No Sounds.
