Brinkster sucks. I dont know a good alternative that is free but brinkster is a webfarm and will give you a crap load of errors in your site. Also no mysql data base, no sqlserver data base its pretty much just access. Also brinkster only gives you 16.6 meg of bandwidth per day, thats probably close to 50 hits give or take, if you get any kind of traffic your screwed.

yes the site you just listed. Asp.net is what I use on my site, it is the newest technology and webmatrix hosting is top notch and its free, i mean unlimited bandwidth smtp server access global.assax you name it they are extreamly high quality hosting, the reson its free is because its microsoft sponosored, it would probably pretty pricy if it were not. Brinkster blows, you cant run asp.net off of them they claim you can but you will get a ton of unexplained #500 errors, viewstate errors due to them being a webfarm, trust me I used them at one point. I would just go straight for asp.net and skip asp if I were you since asp.net is the newer technology, and plus I believe it has many advantages over asp. I know people who use both that sware that asp.net is a whole lot less work then asp classic. Thats just my thoughts.
