Cookie Help

I need help with a cookie.

I need to make a cookie script that saves 3 preferences.

The cursor, the backround, and the text.

I can't find stuff like that anywhere.

Why would general be better? I'd think it'd be better to put it in the section that is devoted to the scripting language they want to use (for instance, since they posted here, I can assume they want a javascript solution, or if they posted in the PHP section, I could assume they want PHP...)
