Ive been asked to place a weather panel in a site.

Ive found this one and some more like it

But I was wondering whether there was a way I could implement my own without all the external links to other weather sites, A Source XML service with raw data? or something like it

If you poke around I think you can find a way to get data directly from the airport weather stations the way the government weather departments do. Also there are a lot (I mean a LOT) of amateurs out there with personal weather stations hooked to the Internet that make data available through places like the Weather Underground (http://www.wunderground.com).
