HELP: Script needed

Does anyone have or know of a script for adding a username and password to different folders on a website, essentialy adding security. I am new to this and seek help. I am trying to create a portal for my clients to view there projects and would like to assign a different username and password to each client's folder on my site.

I went to the site and it asked for a username and password, I don't get it. If the script is good I am will to purchase the license.
