Yo, couple of questions.

For the website I operate I need to create invoices occasionally. Usually we've (where I work) been using a third party software to handle this and registrations, but we are trying to get away from that. Now, what would be a good way to create these you think? These invoices are sent out to our clients, so they need to look official. Were I to print directly from a website, even if it were "printer-friendly", it would have those little headers, stating when it was printed and from which site. Personally that seems kinda tacky to me.

I suppose another option would be the use of the printer php functions. I don't have any experience with this though and I don't know how well it handles.

So what are all ya'lls suggestions, what do you think would be my best bet here?

Interesting, would be an easy fix, but we here don't have any money to purchase licenses.

Any other free ways? What about php printer functions? Anyone ever worked with those?

A basic subset of ScriptX printing functionality is available at no charge.

If you printed an invoice from an html format would you still be sending it out yourself, or would your clients print the invoice themselves directly from the webpage? (You can tell *your* browser not to print the headers/footers - or at least you can do so in ie). Look into something like open office, it's free and im sure they have tons of templates for their word processing program. You could even use their db or spreadsheet program to track registrations and generate invoices, etc.
