ghost files

i have a directory, E:\articles\ that i have saved a number of articles in. after saving 1 earlier, i checked back and although the file successfully saved, it was not there.

i panicked, because the articles are a part of a project i am pushing towards finishing. the strange part is the articles are actually there; firefox's download's console window has about 20 articles that don't show up in the E:\articles\ but when i click open on the DL console, the articles successfully open and even have E:\articles\articlename.html as their root.

but articlename.html doesn't show up in E:\articles\, any suggestions?

refresh the directory, make sure your showing hidden files just in case. try listing the contents of the folder in a different way(eg: in firefox go to: file://E:\articles\). I can't think of anything else to try, but if I do I'll let you know.

oh, and check you have permitions to put files in said folder.
