Hello
What FTP program would you recommend, that is free or very cheap!
Thanks

HTML Kit, a very nice and completely free HTML editor, has one onboard. (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/)

But if you are using Windows, nothing costs you less than the one you already have. Open up the DOS shell and type "ftp".

Try FAR - File and ARchive manager. It has a good FTP client. Interface like Norton Commander, but it's much better.

It's almost free, but if you'll like it and need it completely free - ask me how. Trick is that for ex-soviet people (russian speaking) it IS free. ;)

If you are just making a personal non-business website, WS_FTP LE is what I use.

I just use a windows xp folder. I just type the ftp address into the address bar and copy and paste into it like a normal folder.

I personally like Smart FTP. I love HTML Kit for working on text files that reside on the server.

I use WS_FTP Pro, and am quite satisfied with it. You can get the LE version for free (http://www.ftpplanet.com/download.htm)
