This is in the general forum which partains to no exact limits ergo; don't yell at me.

What kind of coding goes into making a game like Socom?(i know. alot. duh. but what KIND?)

If it is a 3D game or any complex game it is probably programmed in a language such as C++, since it would need a low-level language to be fast enough. (Low level means less similiar to english).

Its for consol game and some companies actually develope their own technologies to make games like that. The language wdl for example, world design language, its a language for making maps in rpgs. It has keywords like skyscale: 30; and it looks like css, those languages are made with c++ or java though.
