Code tags in quick reply

As the title suggests... This would be handy. I currently have to type by hand, or use the advanced reply function.

Heh...I always type the tags manually. I find that faster and easier than having to use the mouse to select text and then click the desired icon. :)

For me using the mouse actually makes sense, since I'm on a laptop with a "wart mouse" in the middle of the keyboard. Besides, when I'm going to write in quick reply, I've typically scrolled the page anyway.

I think the point of quick reply is that it's not the advanced reply form. I always use the advanced form anyway, only takes two seconds to load the page and I use the preview feature extensively, none of the other stuff though as I type all tags by hand.

I agree with David. If it had stuff like that then it would just be the advanced reply box. Anyway, I don't see that happening. The admins here aren't really into modding the heck out of the forum like some other places.
