free or payed version of shopping cart

I use shopping cart Quick.Cart (http://opensolution.org/?p=Quick.Cart) and I'm quite pleased with it but have a question for you. The basic version of this shop is free, but many plugins with additional functionalities are payed (for example Paypal plugin, stock control, Friendly links and sitemap plugin). Do you think that it is profitable purchase or unnecessary expense?

I've never seen a problem in paying for an upgraded software so long as it's a fair price and value.

So long your site is selling product with the free version you should consider the paid versions of the software. There are options in the next 2 tiers that should make using the site easier for you and the site visitor.
