Hey all,
I just wanted to say, I have found much of the advice here ,very helpful.
I am a Commercial artist by trade & wanted to have more control over my companies web site, so decided to start taking night classes. I started with Intro to web, html, xhtml, css, & now just finishing up javascript. I am still a newb in the large scheme of things, but have a real hunger to learn more.
After reading about a gazzilion posts on people asking you to do their homework, I realize what a great service many of you guys offer here to lend advice to people like myself who are sincerley looking to resolve problems & figure out how this all works. There have been times where I cant find the answers in my books &/or even on the w3 pages & many other source links.
I promise I wont be asking any of you to do my homework :D , & just thought I'd let you all know, even though I'm mostly lurking, I think you guys have a great community here.

...Intro to web, html, xhtml, css, & now just finishing up javascript .... Funny... -this is almost exactly the same order in which I took classes (had javascript before xhtml, but some students were taking dhtml/xhtml before javascripting..). Then came 'web design' (which should have come probably before HTML), then Photoshop, etc..
That "Intro to the web" class though, that was a fluff... One-third of the class was attendance, one-third was participation (raise you hand once or twice to answer a question and/or ask for clarification or espound upon a subject in discussion), and one-third were the minimal assignments.

Basically, -it was a 'get used to college classes' thing I think. I was almost bored (well, not really). :D

When I first came here, I spent alot of time in the Archives, reading old posts. :D

I am fairly new to this forum and have been helped a couple of times already. I try my hand at helping others too. I figure, Blue, that with the greatfull attitude that made you write this post, you'll be answering questions soon. That's what keeps a forum strong.
