Hi

I m creating an online image gallery.
Is it possible to not allow the user to copy the image on the site (right click save as or any other ways).
are there any ways to prevent this.

thanks all for your feedbacks...

If you had bothered to LOOK, right at the top of this forum there is a sticky titled "How to Protect Your Images" which basically says you cannot.

there is a way, to create a dynamic flash application that has some kind of moving curtain over the image. This way you can store image names in the database so user can't see the actual filename and moving curtain is used so they can't get a clear screenshot of the image!

Just remember that web browsers download all the content of your page before displaying it so that before they see the images they already have a downloaded copy. The only exception to this is when you use audio or video streaming.

Show the images in the gallery small, in other words just big enough to get the idea of the image. Then have them contact you if they want the larger size.

A 400 x 400 pixel image might do the trick. But at 72 dpi won't print very large or be very expandable.
