Dreamweaver boot error [Archive]

I just bought, downloaded, installed DW 8.

I am getting the following error when I try to open the program. I've tried rebooting, and uninstall and reinstall and still get this error. The program will not open. My pc is is an HP Pavillion zv6000 with winXP (not a mac) See image link for error http://mallee.biz/images/dreamweavererror.jpg

What can I do? I just paid good money for this program.

I would contact Adobe for suggestions and ideas.

As you have paid for it, then Adobe support should be the first port of call - even their forums may turn up something. A quick Google search shows that this may be related to the system, and not just Dreamweaver, and may have something to do with antivirus and / or firewalls running whilst installing the software.

I think it's an improper file in your registry, which isn't getting deleted when you uninstall Dreamweaver. So, when you reinstall it, it's still being referred to.

Uninstall DW again, and then I suggest that you get a registry cleaning program - just make sure you get one that backs up your registry before you delete anything.
