is XAMPP safe for computer ??

need to process php for testing, but is xampp safe for my pc ?

I use XAMPP, and I love it.

You can start and stop the server at will, so it's not really a problem (as far as I can tell).

If your only using it for testing you never need to open up the ports for it. As long as your computer is generally secure xxamp won't decrease it's security.

Especially if you have the ports for it blocked to external sources.
