how to make a password authorize script

I have seen it and i know it exists out there somewhere, I need a script that checks an usrname and password.

what you want is best done using a server side programming language,such as
php
jsp
etc

The task is not suited for javaScript.

yah, about 3 hrs after i wrote this, i realized i needed to use php, i type iot up and it works perfectly now.
