I heard they're popular on easter.. we're talking about these things right??? http://www.clipartandcrafts.com/sample-graphics/EASTER-EGGS1.jpg WebJoel 12-06-2007, 06:58 PM My only experience with an 'easter egg' comes from a pre-i286 game that I played on my ATARI 120XE computer in, what, -the late 80s/very early 90s(??), called "Halley Project". You are given 'assignments' in the solar system, and you 'launch' from your secret base on Halley's Comet, then read your mission and go fulfill it a.s.a.p. (i.e., -"Go to any Gas Giant", "To to any planet with more than three moons", "Go to any planet with NO moon", "Go to Charon", etc), and if you completed all or a certain number of the assigments within a certain time-frame, -there was supposed to be an 'extended play game', -an "easter egg", that would launch for a 'final mission of great importance'... I never hit it right, and when I got my first 'real' pc (won't tell you from where, but place that sold it to me rhymes with "RADIO SNACK" and if that isn't a broad enough clue folks, -think any 1980s era branded computer worse by comparision than the worst M$ OS that you can possibly name..).. The floppy was not compatible of course. I retained it for several years, then did a sideways movement with that, and all my pre-286 hardware (extensive), and it's related software ("GEOWORKS", "BATTERIES INCLUDED", "COVOX VOICEMASTER", etc), gone. :( I was like a post-Katrina Flood victim, -it was like 'one minute it was there, -next minute, -WHOOSH!!, --ALL GONE!' Yeah... dumb move there. I have regreted tossing-out most of that stuff that could have stored nicely in my parent's attic and appreciated in value (even if only to me). Some of those would be 'classics' now.. LeeU 12-07-2007, 09:21 AM Here are a few "specialty" sites: http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/eastereggs/ http://www.eggheaven.com/ http://www.eeggs.com/ drhowarddrfine 12-08-2007, 12:31 AM Not too long ago, you could visit some web sites that had a little colored box, usually at the very bottom of a scrolled page, that you wouldn't pay any attention to and it looked like it was just part of the design. If you happened to scroll over it, you'd notice it was a link to something else. I'm not sure this is still true but my gamer son used to tell me about all the 'easter eggs' on some fairly recent games. WebJoel 12-08-2007, 10:38 AM -What was that movie with Sandra Bullock from some years ago, -something she was a super-programmer code-fixer and while beta-testing this internet game, she found a 'icon' that if hovered-over and you press certain keyboard keys, you got into secure government databases..? Like that, I imagine. tzenito 12-08-2007, 11:16 AM :)))) good idea but i have some other stuff on FF in bulgarian , each country has different stuff good ...Happy students day (atleast in Buglaria) webdeveloper.com
