I'm creating a webpage that has forums for all of your favorite shows. however i don't know the code to enable forums or anything.Can someone help? thanx:confused:

Who is your provider? It's possible they've got forum software already installed and can tell you how to activate it. If not, you'll have to find and install some yourself.

phpBB and vBulletin seem to be the most popular. Here's a site (http://www.forummatrix.org/) where you can compare the different forums against one another.

I don't know that much about computers. so I'm not sure wut a provider is. However I do know HTML. In order to have a forum I have to have a software? There isn't just a code.

Your provider is the person that is hosting your webpage. If the web space came with your internet connection it will probably be the same company: AOL, Charter, etc.

Yeah, you have to have software. But whoever has your webspace will almost definitely either be set up to give you a forum already, or be capable of running any forum software you want to install. Depending on who they are, they may even install it for you.

I have googled it and that site is kind of what I'm trying to do but...I want to do something like this site does.It has forums dealing with coding. I want to, well I'm creating a site where forums for all ppl's fav. shows are and u talk about them. However I don't know the coding for making a forum. Is it like HTML for a table or is it different. I might be in the wrong section. Is there a simply code to do a basic forum is it all complicated java or javascript? If so what is it?

a popular forum that was mentioned before called phpBB was written in PHP. it works with MySQL, the database piece of a forum. look for a host (google it) that allows for phpBB and mysql. alot of hosts allow u to add a forum to ur site with little or no programming at all
