I need a script that will detect if the currently active media player is Windows Media or Real Player and will return a command based on the active player type.
 There has to be a solution for this.
What I need --
Suppose there is an embeded media player named "mcz" that is currently operating...
mcz might either be Windows Media player or RealOne player, but that has to be evaluated.
There is a stop button for mcz, but since Windows Media and RealOne differ, the stop commands differ also.
When the stop button is pushed, the player type needs to be evaluated and either stop() for win media, or DoStop() for realone should be returned depending on the player type.
Easier said than done!
It also needs to be cross browser compatible.
Please help! Anyone have the solution?
Thanks!

i know this will produce 1 error function but it'll work, so just add a stop error messages script
heres the thing
make the function contain BOTH functions
so one will be right :) lol
think out of the box........jk lol

Thanks for that suggestion. Believe me, I thought about doing it that way, but I'm just not happy knowing that there is an error there. Thus far I have tried everything in my abilities and have come up short of a solution.
Surly there is a way to detect which media player is currently running ... if not, there needs to be!
