Hey guys,

I'm developing this site (http://www.foremostgroups.com/dev/2007corporate/index.html), but people here are concerned that the HOME and HOME FURNISHING links are odd/confusing.

They're suggesting making the HOME link smaller. But I think that's just going to look stupid. Before I get opinions here, the OEM DIVISION is changing to just OEM, and this only makes things worse.

I'm not sure what to do with these links. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Feel free to review the rest of the site too. HOME FURNISHING and OEM DIVISION doesn't work yet. The rest does.

Thanks a lot guys.

It doesn't confuse me at all. However, you don't need the "home" link on the front page anyway so you could just remove it from there.

i have all navigation included with SSI, so i'd rather not make it different on certain pages, you know what I mean? regardless, the home link has to be on every sub-page, so they're still gonna complain about it.

they want the HOME link 'smaller'. i don't think i like that...

Pitch your case to them, explain the implications of making the link smaller, etc. When a client always has some terrible idea that I disagree with, I usually show them this article (http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/biggest-mistakes-in-web-design-1995-2015.html) (re: #6) if I can't convince them myself. If they are stubborn about it, you really don't have a choice, they are your client and it's their page, but at least be very clear that you are a professional web designer and know the goods and bads involved with it.

I hear you... there are many cases in which I think they're wrong - I've already done the "this is what I do... this is what I think..." pitch. In a few cases it's worked - in this one, we've compromised. (you can see the changes I've made)

I think I'd like a fourth link along the top (with K&B, Home Furnishing, OEM Products)... but I'm okay with this.
