Website membership payment?!?

Hi,
Im building a members site for a club around my area but now the club wants people to pay for membership. I usually work with php and mysql but I am lost when it comes to payment through a website. Does anyone have any information that might help me or know of any packages or sites that might be of use.

It all depends on what they want to use for credit card processing. If they want to do direct credit card processing through their own merchant account, both LinkPoint and Authorize.net offer PHP API kits. If they want to use a 3rd party (i.e. PayPal) for their processing, then I'd look at those sites for a subscription button / subscription functionality.

In either event, you'll want to store record of successful payments in mySQL so that the club can track what they're owed / have been paid.
