Hello, Please review this site http://www.apnideals.com. Basically it will show the latest deals out there and the end user can place comments on thoese deals.

Thanks in advance.

Images! As much as us web designers hate lots of graphics (for bandwidth reasons), users love some images. Plus if you could see the image of the product, you'd be more interested in checking it out.

TJ111 very nice suggestion and yes that is one thing I will be implementing next thank you.

Also, as a side note, "Submit" is spelled wrong on your main menu. Also I think all of the options you have for your inline textarea is way to confusing. I'd turn most of them off, all you need are things like links, lists, images, and font formatting. A lot of "bargain shoppers" (ie, moms, grandmas) aren't very computer savvy, and get confused easily. Confused users = lost users.

3 Vote. What does that mean? Does it mean that there have been 3 votes, or that it has a voting score of '3'?

I think that product images would also be nice, as TJ111 said.

Also, search engines like descriptive links, rather than 'click here' links. So, I would change:
"If you find any online deals you can help the community by adding it on our site by clicking here (http://www.apnideals.com/submitD.aspx) and share it with all the world."

to:
"If you find any online deals you can help the community by adding it on our site (http://www.apnideals.com/submitD.aspx) and share it with all the world."

It a really nice and simple layout with great navigation. It looks nice.

3 Votes mean there have been 3 votes for this product.
Working on the images ans TJ111 said.
changed to descriptive link :) thanks for the point.

As you can tell it is still a beta version and a lot of work needs to be done on it, and I really appreciated the community for all the help.
Thanks

It looks great, but the "vote" links do not appear on one line (the wrap). Attached is an example. I use Safari.

Hi Shane.. I am testing it with Safari, but all the vote links are there is it the main page that you are getting that vote link or some sub page.

Thank you

I have Mac Safari 2, which might act differently that Safari 3 for Windows (that's what you're using, right?) This applies to all of the pages, not just the main one.

I think that instead of putting the number of votes a deal has, you should put the voting score instead (3/10... 7/10... etc).

It definitely looks really nice for a beta version... good job.

Yes, I am using Safari 3 on Windows :( ... Are all the vote links appear as the image you sent me? As I don't have mac to test the site.

Thanks

You could always change it from a submit button to a regular <button> with an onclick="document.forms[0].submit();" parameter.

For the voting I am using an image button.. tried the regular button in ASP.NET but it wasn't very appealing, I am using gridview for displaying the deals.

Most probably it is the CSS file that I need to work with ... ahh css my weakest link :D.

Thanks

How about <input type="image" />?

I have tried it before but wasn't able to make it work with Gridview although I will give it one more try. Thanks Shane

It's probably not that big of a deal because Safari 2 is being phased out anyway.

Leopard and Tiger (the old OS) both have Safari 3 now. I have the latter system, but I haven't installed the update because I don't like Safari 3.
