Slow loading

Recently I noticed a marked increase in the time it takes to load each forum page. It appeared to coincide with the beginning of the right column (advertising) containing videos or the like. I literally have to wait while the element loads before I can do anything.

I'm using fairly fast DSL and never saw this slowness before so I assume that it has to do with a change in the pages. Seems like a website dealing with web development should be implementing better web design.

Regardless, the knowledge to be gained from the forum visitors is fantastic.

You noticed this on every page load? Because it's loading in a couple of seconds for me here. Try and take notice of which ad appears when the page seems very slow to you. Thanks

Now that you mention it, I have been experiencing a slow-down on pages that have those Visual Studio ads. The ones that have those mini-movies in them with the robots and stuff. It can be a quite considerable slow-down some times. Nothing too hideous though.

In fact, just now I'm noticing it a lot on this particular ad (http://view.atdmt.com/MRT/iview/ntiiivse0120000263mrt/direct/01&1484255103?click=). :(
