Not getting Instant Notifications?

For some reason, I am no longer receiving email notifications of my subscribed threads (been a while)
My user profile is set to get Instant Notification.
My Subscribed Threads Notification is 'unchecked' (I think it should be checked)
Checking it, checks all threads, but does not get saved.
How do I fix this?

Additionally, over the last 6 months or so, the site is getting slower and slower.
(10 sec to preview this, 33 sec to refresh new posts page.)

Your e-mail provider is screening them out, it's a fairly common occurrence. Change the e-mail in your account to a Hotmail or Gmail, just to test.

About the slow downs, I'm not experiencing them so I don't know. Page loads in two or three seconds here.
