My girlfriend has a band, and they are looking for someone who can design, update and maintain their website. Anyone know of anything that can help them? I was doing the site before, and I did a really crappy job. All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Be careful with those online freelance jobs. I bid on it and got my website built in Russia and it's horrible, it's not what I wanted and I had to pay for the site eventhough I wasn't satisfied. Most of them use the template to do the job, not custom made website. It takes them only 1 hour to get your site up running, and then you pay more for graphic design, logo design, and everthing else. Usually the lowest bidder will win, but of course they do a louzy crabby job for that bidded price.
I never trust those online outsourcing web again. They don't live in your community, there's nothing you can do about it.

The disadvantage is that you can only communicate online/IM/email. You can't talk to them directly because they're in another country unless you want to pay for telephone bill.

The best way to find a programmer who you can interact with is to find them by zipcode in your local area.

Ya know I like where your going... but I also think that if you were to just have the site automatically send you to the myspace page your going to be better off.

Managing the myspace templates and site is much easier than a regular website.
