The people I've designed my latest site for asked if I can give them access to some sort of Visitor Tracking. I use Google Analytics to track site visitors and to figure out the demographics of our visitors, but this is a little complex for a normal person to read.
Does anyone know of a dumbed down version of something like this? Something normal people without strong web knowledge can read? I think that I'd like something that multiple people can access, perhaps using different usernames.
What do you guys use for this?

If they have cPanel for their webhost, you can use AWstats and cPanel accounts that can only access that. Although I'm not sure if it's any less complicated then google analytics, but it does have some nice graphs and tables.

We have our site hosted on our own servers, so I'm not sure if we have AWstats / cPanel. Probably not, right?

Well, you probably use some sort of Hosting Control Panel, don't you?

You could try Urchin, the professional version of GA. I don't think any user will understand any of the results unless you go into customized reporting, which most vendors who sell Urchin provide.

nice. thanks guys.
I'll look into both w3counter and urchin.
Here is one (http://www.xav.com/scripts/axs/) I have used before. It's pretty good and easy to read.

That is pretty simple. It's a shame we're on IIS without Perl enabled (can you even use perl on an IIS server?)

I love Google:

Or continue with the phrase: using perl on IIS

I don't know much about IIS but this might work (http://www.iisanswers.com/Top10FAQ/t10-installperl.htm).

Hi.
1. Check if you have webalizer.
2. you can add a counter stat from: http://www.statcounter.com/
3. you can install hit counter on selected (or all) pages. I can give you the code.
Good Luck!
