Hi guys,
I recently started a home-based online job. I use internet explorer but I it gives a lot of error messages while surfing. I want a browser that provides more features and I wish to open multiple sites in a single window task. Can anyone help me with a suitable and powerful web browser?

Sounds like you are using IE6 (or earlier), but the error messages are generally the site and not the browser. I personally use Firefox, but you can turn off the error messages that you are receiving and upgrade to IE7 (has tabs like Firefox) to get to your minimum requirement.

Since you are using IE, this means you are using Windows. You should use Firefox or Opera because they are modern browsers with a wealth of extensions and add-ons for many things you would like to do. Under no circumstances should you consider IE7.

In order the best popular browsers for Windows are:

1. Firefox or Opera (opinions differ)
2. Firefox or Opera (whichever isn't 1)
3. Safari
12. IE7
99. IE6

Definitely don't go for internet explorer, since it's the worst browser out there by a long long way and there are loads of standards that it doesn't adhere to. When I used Windows I used Firefox, always, but sometimes Safari, but I would definitely stick with Firefox or Opera as everyone else here has said.

i completely agree with felgall and blue-eye-labs. if your job consist of web development you should consider those guys opinions because the truth is that one of the most worst browsers is msie. however, that don't means you should never use it for test purpose or general use. we, as web developer use the most common web browser for testing purpose but never leaving alone some good browser as firefox. is like the hacker and common users: hacker are likely to use linux OS than microsoft OS because of the powerful and vast flexibility. other face of truth is that you can't leave msie out because there are client that claim for support.

yeah, as ZeroKilled said, if you're developing you have to make your site compatible with IE (unfortunately) because about 70% of people still use it, but as a rule of thumb, develop for Firefox, fix for IE.
If you're just browsing, I would just use Firefox.
