The 1st site is well-coded and validates (:D). Congratulations! Artistically, it's pretty boring to look at, but that you understand the fundamentals of coding is great. It's much easier to add graphics than it is to learn coding!

The personal site lacks the good coding skills of the school one. Not much more to say about it.

I think that they're pretty nice... they look professional, and that's all that really matters when looking for a job (I'll assume that you'll be doing that at some point). I also don't think that they're that boring...
