I have just been coding up a site form the photoshop visuals and when i put the photoshop visual size by side with the actual webpage they gray has a colour variation.

Photoshop visual having a more blue tint to the gray (background colour)
Firefox web page having more of a yellow tint.

All the RGB/HEX values match when i work from each programs pallet

I am running a 24" iMac with a calibrated screen (Spyder3Elite)

Anyone know the cause of this and how can i get consistency?

It might help to see the actual pages html/css.. just incase something funny is happening. What program did you use to create the page?

The background grey in the photoshop window is showing up as #dedede for me. While in the firefox window it is #dfdfdf. What is the value in the html css?

another think to keep in mind, although possibly not the problem, is that colors displayed on screen might vary from program to program. They will most certainly vary from computer to computer.

I have the same issues with photoshop, although for me ps gives everything a dull yellow tint, whereas in reality the images come out much cleaner. I don't know what it is, but it is really annoying.

This is probably because you are using a color profile- by default Photoshop tries to save out without this profile which will throw off your colors. In the save for web dialog you'll need to click on the arrow at the top upper right, just to the left of the SAVE button and select "Use Document Color Profile"
