I can't tell you how excited I am that Media Monkey (http://www.mediamonkey.com/) finally plays tracks without pauses between them. I had used it around version 2 and loved it, save for the 3 second pause between each track. I ended up going with iTunes and converting my Monkey Audio and FLAC music to iTunes lossless codec. Yuck. Proprietary.

But now I am a happy, happy boy! Media Monkey is back on my crappy HP media center PC! :)

So I'm just sitting here next to my girlfriend's and my 4 foot high dollar store Christmas tree in my living room, sipping on some brew and being as excited as a school boy who just got a new sling shot because I'm starting my long and laborious process of ripping CDs and ridding my music of proprietary constraints.

I am geek. Hear me roar. Suck it RIAA. Suck it long, and suck it hard. (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/12/26/0348246)

i listen to my music library on shuffle. that way i never know what's coming next. the best part about it is that i can do that for 39 days, 4 hours, and 28 minutes before hearing the first song again.

I have several jump-drives of varying MB volumes, for data/files/programs backups, but now have have a 2-GB jump-drive... finally going to put an entire OS on removable storage (probably Linux, and image editing software etc.).
