:confused: I have a registered .biz domain name that's not being used for it's original purpose, and I'm wondering if it might be possible to turn it into an vertical (industry-specific) "portal". In other words, it would be a site that acts as a single source for information about a specific subject -- plus Google ads that might generate some income.
Without getting into specifics at this early stage, I think my domain has the potential to be an attractive internet resource for a wide range of busineses and services related to a specific segment of agriculture.
I've done some online research, and have not yet found a site like the one I have in mind. However, I have no idea where to start on a venture like this, and am hoping to hear from individuals who have established a portal site ... and are making money with it.
I'm located in the Orlando FL area, and am open to talking with a local organization or developer who'd be interested in forming a mutually-beneficial working relationship on a project like this.
