Hey everyone,
I just finished a website for my IT Consulting business and was just looking to get some feedback from you guys.
The address is:
http://www.xjay.ca
Or
http://www.xjayvancouver.ca
Any ideas/suggestions about the layout/colours/images are really appreciated. Thanks!

Visually, it is nice. I like & appreciate the use of "whitespace" in web documents. -It keeps the focus on the content, not the presentation. Even the mild 'dotted background' is not distracting. It's rather ...neat, really. :)
I might try to 'boost up' the focus of the navigation fly-out/drop-downs, though. They are exactly (or almost nearly so?) the same color (foreground & background) as the main body... I find it difficult to read (and this comes from someone whom 5 years ago was legally blind in one eye, so ability to see document is important to me).
I note a few 'warnings' on validation: see screenshot image. Probably most are things that come from legacy-compatibility issues (I note that you have an IE5 conditional... kudos for that even if it is a rarity that anyone still uses IE5, "IE5.5" admittedly, was my favorite incarnation of the quintessential InternetExploder product).
Overall, I'd say superlative job!

Your site looks very professional and clean. I think the colours are effective and the overall look and feel suits what you are promoting.
I agree with WebJoel in regards to the the navigation fly-out/drop-downs.
Perhaps you could try white text reversed out of your standard blue, or as it is but with a very light blue background - or even light orange?
I viewed it with IE7 and Firefox. With Firefox everything looks fine. Unfortunatley IE7 has some issues with it! The whole page refreshes when you select a menu item and the contact form renders incorrectly with the input boxes in the wrong position and the outer box extending off the page to the right!
Maybe someone else can confirm that this is the case - perhaps it's something at my end?

Really like the title and header on site think the blue works really well. Not to keen on the left navigation don't like the way when you roll over it a box appears don't think it works.Your email address and telephone number is really small and a bit insignificant.
