Stick with me, almost complete newbie here (I know a little html, thats it.)

If you were to learn all about(or maybe just the gist of) FTP, PHP, CSS, and building a database, where would you go? I have less than a week to create a site with a database with a search function and runs phpBB.

Also is Bihira a decent web provider to go with?

Thanks and best regards,
Matt

Well that's a hell of a lot to get to grips with in just one week. I think your only realistic hope of getting a site up that fits the description you've given in just one week is to grab a pre-built Content Management System (CMS). You can get loads of them from http://opensourcecms.com/.

Getting to grips with FTP should be a trivial matter. For most people it's just a case of opening an FTP program, putting in a user name and password and then dragging and dropping files. For PHP, I always recommend the PHP manual (http://devzone.zend.com/manual). The W3C's section on CSS (http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/) is probably your best resource for CSS, but you might find it easier to start out with W3schools.com's CSS tutorials (http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp).

Thank you for the response.

I never expected this to me so much work, I use to know frontpage back in '97, are there any programs that I can purchase that will help me out? Like I said previously, I am going to need to set up a database.

Thanks, and reguards.
