Remember, cloning does not create a copy of you. It creates an embryo with the same genetic make-up as you. In other words, if you made 6 clones of yourself today, in 9 months you would have sextuplet babies. Then you would have to raise them, which means feeding, housing, and clothing them along with all the other costs of raising children.

Now, think back to what you were like as a child and then as a teenager (shudder!). Would you want to raise 6 of you at the same time? Or can you afford to pay someone else to raise 6 of you? And you'll have to wait 18 years until they are finally legally old enough to hold a full-time job, assuming at this point you cannot afford to send them off to college.

By this time, you'll be more than 18 years older than they are, they will have grown up under completely different influences and conditions than you did, so they will not be exact duplicates of you, especially in the way they think about things, their likes and dislikes, etc.

6 clones of me? No thanks!

But think of the "corrections" you could make, NogDog. ;)

Shoot, I can't get my dog to come to me unless he thinks there's probably food involved. Me trying to get 6 copies of me to do what I want -- impossible!
