Hello,
About a week ago I received some hardware parts and then put together my pc. I installed Windows XP and it worked well, or so I thought. After some time the display gets a blackout, the display is still turned on, but has gone black. Now in the past week I've experienced this a whole lot. Sometimes when its starting up Windows, the screen goes black before it reaches the login screen, and a whole lot times the screens start to flicker when I use it - and then go black. I know for sure, that its only the screen that goes black, and not the computer ****ing up, because I was watching a movie one time when it happened, and I could still hear it running in the background.
I was 99% certain that it was my graphics card which was somewhat defect, but.. I've been able to play Crysis, and Call of Duty 4 since I reinstalled...for hours without problems! but recently it just starts ****ing up random times... It's pissing me off.
I searched the net for answers and found someone with a similar problem, she said she bought a new DVI cable and that fixed it. I borrowed one now, but after being in Windows XP for 2 minutes the screen flashed and then went black. I re-booted, and now I've been on the PC for an hour without any problem.
Dxdiag doesnt report any errors of the gfxcard.
I'm lost - what more can I do?
I've tried to install the latest drivers from Nvidia - and also the ones from the CD. Same problem...

Core 2 Duo E6750
Corsair XMS2 2 x 1 GB
ASUS EN8800GT
3x SATA diske
DVD Brænder
Corsair VX550W
