Hello,
I have made this site for my wife's work to help her promote her art and preserve the Hawaiian Art of Making Kapa.. (Native Hawaiian Bark Cloth). I am not a professional designer, I just bought a book and studied CSS and went from there.

Please give me as much criticism as you like, I totally welcome all notes that may help me improve my website. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

My website is www.kapahawaii.com

In Firefox (and presumeably Mozilla, Opera, etc), there is content-drop. See screengrab image. You don't see this in IE.

In Firefox (when I scroll down far enough), the text-size is adequate, but in IE it is VERY small... about 8-px tall maybe?

The validation warnings include alot of ' missing-expected "<tr>" ', which IE 'forgives' but compliant browsers probably have trouble with. And a few elements are nested where they cannot reside ' "<imput>" not allowed in "<TABLE"> '

I like the page background, -rather 'tree bark-esque' and compliments the subject matter.

Thank you very much WebJoel. I think I have to find some compatibility checker or something, or at least run the website through different browsers. I am shy to tell you that I have no idea how to fix that, but I will try to figure it out.

Is there a way that I can unify the websites look on all browsers? Does dreamweaver provide something like that?

Thank you

DREAMWEAVER!? ARRGGH! No, :o , Dreamweaver is usually the cause
of problems like this.

If you go to the Mozilla site and download "Firefox" the browser, install it, and find the "Extentions" page and then find "HTML Validator by TIDY", click & let it self-install, it will do so cleanly, easily.

Then, view your page in Firefox, click VIEW -SOURCE and TIDY will show your code, -errors and warnings highlighted, and offer solutions to correct the ERRORS. Once these are fixed, you can click one button and TIDY will automatically fix & correct ALL validation "warnings"and present you with cleaned code.

This isn't a guarantee that the code will work in all browsers, -but often, it does exactly that. :)
