Hi,
I have started to embed my flash using swfobject to get around the whole grey box /click to activate problem in IE.
It was all working nicely and then I started experimenting to disable flash and javascript to test getting the alternative content (ie trying to see how my site would look for people viewing without flash or javascript enabled).
Trouble is Ive really screwed things up now. I cant get flash working again on sites that use swf object. I can tell this as it doent work on sites ive built and i also looked at someone elses site that uses swf object.
However I created a test piece of flash and embed it the old fashioned way and it works - albiet with the nasty grey lines and 'click to activate'.
Please can anyone point me in the right direction. This is only a problem in IE7 (FF is fine). I have checked my shockwave is enabled and also reset the javascript settings. I have a feeling javascript and the way its detecting is the problem but i just dont know what ive done.
Thanks in advacne
