Hi, i want to start selling online. i just wanted to know how to receive payments online and how i can give the buyer the goods or a link to the goods only after they pay.
Please help, i'm a beginner

You really don't want to be tackling that sort of stuff if you're a beginner. I'd strongly recommend you hire a competent professional to do the job for you.
If you will be keeping records of customer's data such as card details and addresses etc., then you will also require a secure database and there will very likely be laws in applicable countries about storage requirements you must meet. If you are a very small business, you may well have a much easier time if you try to sell your goods through a larger and well established online retailer. They'd obviously want a cut of the profits, but you'd probably save a good deal in setup and other costs (as well as avoiding many potential legal problems).

what volume of sales are you dealing with? if its fairly small meaning you don't need to build a database to track everything, etc just use paypal its really simple
just look through their merchant stuff basically you will be able to provide the buyer a payment link or send them an invoice that paypal will create for you (takes about 30 sec to do) then once their payment clears you can mail them the merchandise
