I've had my share of windows woes and have switched fully to a linux desktop. Though there are many dreamweaver install guides out there though, it just isn't stable enough for me to be working in.

For now I've been using bluefish and gftp to do my editing. I'm not into the WYSIWYG scene at all. I'm a bit of a perfectionist in my code and its formatting, and don't trust those WYSIWYG machines to keep things trim and slim.

Does anyone know of a good open-source more-dreamweaver-like replacement native to linux in regards to site-management?

i am using Quanta Plus.
Quanta Plus is pretty functional but i dont know there is any dreamweaver-like open source program.
Quanta Plus needs to be developed more and more but it is functional.

Dreamweaver costs: $399 (http://www.adobe.com/go/buydreamweaver) :)

KompoZer (http://www.kompozer.net/) or Quanta Plus are usually the two best alternatives when it comes to Linux. My friend found Quanta Plus a year or so ago when he made the switch to Linux, and he still swears by it. I personally do only hand-coding, so I have no problem using a console text/code editor such as Vim. :p

i wonder that if there is any install guide for dreamweaer on linux?
all methods like :"copy from win. (installed files) to wine directory"

so if you have only linux on your machine you can't install brand new dreamweaver :)

I like Quanta Plus but I'm a bigger Eclipse fan so I'd recommend you look at Aptana Studio, too.
