cookie for displaying last page visited?

what i want to do for my site is to place a cookie on the remote computer which contains what page they browsed last, then when click a link which is seen a mistake, the page that there on comes up as the page with mistake, this may be changed just in case its not that page, the reason why i cant program it in to every page is because they are all reading from one file/source. to make it easier for updates.

help would be much appreciated

ok thanks khalid ill have a look when get back from bank, hopefully i can make one myself or at least, try if i get stuck ill post what ive got on this thread thanks again :D
