Can a computer be bogged down and running slow because of registry problems?

As far as I know, yeah. I think Windows may try other means of locating a file that is needed if it is identified in the registry, but the file is not where the registry says it is.

Can a computer be bogged down and running slow because of registry problems? Yes. I recommend a freeware program called "ccleaner". TUCOWS, Majorgeeks, etc., probably have it, or Google it.
