I think we need a asp.net or just a .net forum, that would be wonderful but what is vbscript used for other then asp in the real world? I honestly dont know many other uses could you enlighten me? ActiveX would be nice but how often is it used in webdesign. I wish we had a java form though (because we can use applets or jsp as an excuse to call it web design) and it would sure help me with my ap java homework.

i agree but, in a different way... is there a way to create these forums withim the for example asp.net culd have a seperate forum within the asp forum and the same for the others could this be done? i know it can be done in phpBB2 but ui dont know about this forum.... can enyone enlighten me?

asp.net would be a part of a .net forum and not an asp forum. In a .net forum you would have asp.net vb.net c# j# and any other stuff in the .net studio... They all go together.

But since this forums is geared entirely for webdevelopers (hence the name), I can't see a pure .NET forums being added, as besides ASP.NET the rest are full featured programming languages.

well things like vb.net c++.net they are made to be used on the net. Thats why they are in the .net studio and not the visual studio. Hence c++.net and visual c++, vb.net and visual studio visual basic 6

I don't think an ASP.NET or any *.NET is necesary, They can all go to ASP forum or if there is too much whynning then probably change the ASP forums title to *.NET

If you build it they will come. If we had an ASP.NET forum I am betting we would see a whole lot of new faces around here. ASP.NET is a very powerful tool so it would not suprise me at all if we saw a whole lot of ASP.NET programmers here... If they did anything, it would probably be just renaming it to ASP/ASP.NET. However, if someone had an ASP.NET question, don't you think that they would just ask it in the ASP section?
