Retrieve Quicktime Dimensions (width/height)

Does anyone know of a way in either javascript, .NET, or any other language of automatically retrieving the width/height of a quicktime file?

Example: Creating a form in which the user uploads a movie file, can I tell the width/height somehow by reading the file?

I was told that when those files are exported they save that information somewhere in the file.
