I posted a question here awhile back and the message is showing up when people google my website. If there is a mod looking at this post please google (inciseart) and look at the second link. Please remove this from google as is not what I would want people to see when searching for my business. Thanks in advance....

They are both there now. All you can do is try to get a moderator to remove the reference to the website from both posts, as there is a policy of not deleting posts here.

because this site allows google to index its posts, it is not possible for them to remove anything from google. but as declan stated, they can modify your original post here which will then propagate to google. but its up to you to know not to post vital information, and to where. one interpretation of this site's AUP is that when you post, its now this sites property. if you dont like any caveats which result from that, its best not to post.

Please read the Forums Acceptable Use Policy (there is a link in my signature).

Unless the thread violates any of these terms, it will not be removed.

Once you post your message in the forum, it then becomes the property of JupiterMedia.

Thread moved from JavaScript to Forum Feedback.

You were also warned in the welcome e-mail that the forum sends out not to post anything to the forum that you don't want search engines to find. I'm afraid that's the best we can do.

If the SEs are showing forum posts when your site is searched, it's likely because your site has so little indexed that the forum is beating it out. DO some more SEO and add some unique content to your site.

It doesn't contain personal info, and moving it would do nothing.

Okay so I will just have to leave it up? The thing is right I made a mistake by posting it up...its an assignment of mine for school...I dont want anyone using it (or my prof thinking I STOLE IT lol you know that I stole my own assignment) does that make sense?

We sent an email warning every member who has ever joined about this issue. What more can we do, call each of them up on the phone? We don't have phone numbers

dude, every time you post a link to that thread, it's making it easier for google to index... and it will index it higher. stop posting links to it.

anyway, the best thing you can do is to be nice to a site admin, and politely ask if they would close the thread. then you just have to wait until the thread is archived, and removed, and it will be taken off google (but this will take some time)

anything you post on here will be found through google. the best thing you can do in the future is not use information like your company name, and don't post the url to any testing pages here.... use the (dot) thing if you post a link to a testing page that you don't want google to index.
