Diamond Shape to display

Okay, I am trying to display a diamond using asterisks and I have attached the code I've done. I've picked my brain to the point that I no longer remember my name........I can only get the first row with one asterisk to display.

I am new to javascript, but would like to understand what I am doing wrong here. Any pointers, tips, and hints is greatly appreciated.

I've attached a txt to display my code.
