If someone was to create a database of houses for sale, how easy would it be for me to place the database onto my website so it works like a search feature?

Thanks in advance

This question's vague at best, since you don't just "put a database onto a website." There should be some kind of business rules that say how to display... such as proximity to a search, color, style, price, etc.

Yes I understand its not quite that simple but how easy would it be to put a search feature onto a website that will search a database of house's for example....

Price between £0 - £1,000,000
Bedrooms 1 - 20
Type of Poperty House - Flat - Semi-Detached etc...

Hope this helps.

All help is greatly appreciated

The answer to "how easy..?" really depends on the answers to more questions.

What type of database can you use?
What programming language are you using?
How well do you know the language?

and it really depends on how skilled you (or the developer) is.

So its hard then?

I dont have much experience with databases I've always designed websites without database search facilities but would like to learn more about them.

The database is already made and uploaded to my website databases to try, just wanted to know how hard it would be to make the search facility on the website search the database.

Sorry if I cant explain very well what I need to do.
