Compguy Pete 09-18-2003, 12:27 PM If your going to setup a hosting company you need to look at a number of things to figure out your price. 1. are you going to market Locally or larger? 2. Your target market is going to be your major factor in pricing. 3. You dont have to give away the whole server for nothing. If you were to look at my prices you might say I'm nuts and I'm overcharging my clients. Which I would totally disagree with ofcourse. Because my pricing is local not national or international. I have no desaire to make my money on hosting 500+ sites when I can make as much or more by hosting 50. Thats 450 less clients I have to worry about, leaving or calling should a router be down on the Internet. Also you can charge a bit more if you only offer hosting to clients you design for... I have one local company here in my are that hosting starts at $125.00 USD for what I can tell to be only as much space as you need... Which for the majority of sites is less than 10mb. Lets just say I've been able to pick up a couple of clients from that place. joncapp 09-20-2003, 01:56 PM i pay about $25 a year with www.hostcolor.com theya re pretty damn reliable too. http://www.socalbusinesslawyer.com http://www.california-copyright-attorney-lawyer.com/ http://www.sandiego-personal-injury-lawyer.com/ Sux0rZh@jc0rz 09-20-2003, 11:59 PM www.ace-host.net is the best. 3$ monthly(when u buy yearly)for 1000mb + 40GB transfer a month. webdeveloper.com
