I am running a Windows 2003 server, not using IIS, but using apache and php/mysql. It works fine accept when i try to browse my web site from that machine (the server itself), I got a security box asking for user name and password. After i clicked cancel, I now have "page cannot be displayed". Could this have something to do with my dsl router? It seems to point to that because the security/login box is the router login.
But it works from any other computer in the world, anybody know what the deal is?

Could this have something to do with my dsl router? Are you accessing the site by domain name? If so it could be that your router doesn't support IP NAT LOOPBACK or that it is not enabled. Try accessing the server by its LAN IP.

Thanks for answering!
Yes I can access via IP address, it is by domain name that is goofy.
I do not remember IP NAT LOOPBACK being an option within the router? I will check into it, do i have to forward other ports or something to the machines internal ip? Like maybe forward 127.0.0.1 to it's NIC address?

Something strange is happening. To get the router page normally you would go to the LAN gateway IP. If people outside the LAN can see your server you don't need to open any ports as they must be already open.

Yes people outside the lan can see the web site fine, port forwarding is set up for port 80.
I fixed this issue by adding my domain and internal NIC IP address to each network computers hosts file.
