Well Done UK Gov for outlawing Spam Email.

Hi Group,
today the UK goverment outlawed spam email, hurray!!!!!

At last it is now a criminal offence to spam. Spammers can be fined upto £5,000 but sadly no jail sentence can be applied. The measures take effect on 11 December and will be enforced by the Information Commissioner.
Under the new law, companies will have to get permission from an individual before they can send them an e-mail or text message.
But the regulations do not cover business e-mail addresses, despite some calls for a blanket ban on spam.

Any comments on this one guys/girls?

However who will pick what is a business email address or my domain?

We have something similar here in Minnesota on telephone marketing. Sadly the telemarketers have found a way around most of that.

That probably why my host made all these changes to their site, you can no longer use my hosts smtp server as a... forgot the word... go between I guess you would say where you can type and from email address in the from box now it has to be your account name or the smtp will ignore it, this allows them to track whos sending what. Their server is somewhere in England and all so now it all makes sence. Its a good idea but I dont get spam anyway, but if you have aol or msn the spam bots just target you....

Spam is a crime in the US already I beleive... but I could be mistaken. Thats why all the mailing letters have a disclaimer at the bottom saying its not spam and that you can supposedly get off of the mailing list... even though you cant.

The fbi is not going to investigate server attacks in thiland. Just make some calls find some people with t3's fractional t3's t1's oc3's all kinds of connections like that, find people with access to stuff like that (maybe a local lan party place, or a local buisness, a school that isnt a nark about blocking ports) and just packet the crud out of the dns.

I was talking about how to counter the spam by using up all the server bandwidth, and maybe crash the dns.
